Job Description:

Ministry Function: The Production Assistant supports the Senior Director of Programming, Events and Communications in several areas, including Video, Lights, Audio, set-up and break-down of equipment and general service/events production needs. Additionally, the Production Assistant responsibilities may include troubleshooting, installations and various audio, visual and media production projects.

The Production Assistant will serve in the following areas:

  • Sunday Services – as needed in positions including Livestream Producer, Camera Operator, Computer Operator, as well as Stage Manager, Audio Person, and Stage Crew, when needed

     

  • Broadcast Producer - as Broadcast Producer giving oversight to camera and computer operators; Soundcheck; The Broadcast Producer is responsible for every image that is transmitted on the live feed; Broadcastt Producer will capture details, during service to help maintain and improve the service flow using a provided checklist; Broadcast Producer manages the design of shots and transitions with camera and computer operator
  • Training & Troubleshooting – using Thursday walk-thru as an opportunity for volunteers to have hands-on training with cameras, switcher and computer; Thursday hours will also be designated for troubleshooting any issues with technology; Any issues and troubleshooting efforts must be documented in the provided checklist
  • Research and Updates – by viewing and evaluating the previous week’s service and viewing selected outside ministries online service, with Programming Team; there should be a constant stream of features added i.e. customized video closing, customized promo videos, dynamic lower thirds, etc.
  • Media Production – Oversee the implementation of ProPresenter for lyrics and message slide and assist as needed in production of video testimonies, documentaries, film projects, message bumpers, trailers, video and radio promotions, etc.; Recording Sunday services; Prep media and equipment for events, including set-up/breakdown
  • Message Video Edit – uploading a message “ONLY” video edit of the previous Sunday service, to YouTube channel. Create and deliver recap videos for events, programs and services
  • Developing Original Video Content - responsible for creating original short form videos that will run primarily during Sunday worship services
  • A/V support – video support for ministries including Youth and Kids ministries where needed

Responsibilities:

  • Attend and participate in weekly Thursday Bible Study
  • Assist in the research of techniques and technology to expand the usage of current Livestream® + TriCaster System, ProPresenter and Mac OS applications
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Worship and Creative Arts

  • Ability to be extremely flexible in an environment that is subject to many spur of the moment changes
  • Initiative, perseverance, follow-through and “whatever it takes” attitudes are very important
  • Must have a strong commitment to handling conflict according to the precepts of Scripture
  • Effective communication is a very important value at New Community. Must provide clear, regular and thorough communications to all whom she works
  • Must exhibit personal discretion concerning information shared in the normal flow of church interactions, whether leaders, staff or members
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality; Breach of confidentiality (whether personal or company related) is grounds for immediate dismissal
  • As with all assignments at New Community, the Production Assistant serves in the best interest of New Community Bible Fellowship. Must have an open and understanding spirit if the Senior Pastor or Eldership determines a need for change or reassignment

Qualifications:

  • Must be a member in good standing at New Community Bible Fellowship
  • Strong commitment to spiritual growth
  • Fully embraces the vision, mission and values of New Community Bible Fellowship
  • Must be willing to spend time in Bible study with NCBF Staff
  • Must be willing to spend time in staff training at NCBF
  • High level of competence and proficiency in multimedia software applications
  • Proficient with audio/visual components required to fulfill leadership and ministry duties
  • Must exhibit a continuous effort to develop and improve skills and knowledge
  • As an associate employee of New Community, the Production Assistant will adhere to the standards listed in 1 Timothy 4:12
