Official Job Posting
Steadfast Gretna
Gretna, NE
Position: Pastor
Who We Are:
Steadfast Gretna is an independent Bible church dedicated to life transformation
through Jesus. Our commitment to Scripture, prayer, and loving relationships defines
our church family, anchors our ministry, and positions us to reach our community with
the gospel. As one of the fastest growing cities in Nebraska, Gretna is an increasingly
diverse mission field. Planted in 2010, Steadfast has been steadily reaching Gretna,
southwest Omaha, and the surrounding communities. As our founding pastor moves
into full-time counseling, we are seeking a pastor to build on the existing foundation
and expand our influence for the Kingdom.
Our congregation values expository preaching that is Christ-centered, grace filled, and
relevant to daily life. Sunday services happen in a recently-built middle school in
Gretna, serving about 35-40 families who call Steadfast home, with an average
attendance of 75 each week. We also lease an office for the staff, which serves as a
gathering place for small-group Bible studies, and youth meetings.
Where we Are Going:
We are positioned and ready to continue our gospel outreach in Gretna and the
surrounding communities. We seek a candidate who will join with us in equipping the
church for discipleship and evangelism.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are prayerfully seeking a pastor with strong teaching and leadership gifts who will
collaborate with our associate pastor, staff, and elder team to help set the direction and
vision for the church.
Prayerfully, we are seeking a man who brings these characteristics and kinds of
experience:
• Exhibiting and striving toward the biblical leadership qualities of 1 Timothy 3:1-7
and Titus 1:7-9

• Agreement with our Statement of Faith (available at steadfastgretna.org) and by-
laws

• A communicator who is committed to preaching the Word of God (2 Timothy
4:1-2)
• Experience working together with a ministry staff and elder team
• Experience equipping believers for leadership and works of service (Ephesians
4:11-16)
• A calling and commitment to do the work of an evangelist, bringing the light and
love of Jesus to our community (2 Timothy 4:5)

• A spirit of humility modeled in sacrificial servant leadership (Philippians 2:1-11)
Benefits
Total salary package determined by the elders based on candidate needs and
experience. The package will include medical insurance allowance, retirement, and
expense account.
